About Mātāji AYURVEDIC

Integrative Biological Medicine

Mataji Ayurvedic Healing is an integrative biological medicine practice that unites classical Ayurvedic science with modern physiology, neuroscience, and emotional health.  Our work is guided by one principle: that the body is not a collection of systems to be managed, but a living intelligence capable of regulation, repair, and coherence when properly understood and supported.

We study how biological systems - endocrine, digestive, immune, neural, and emotional - communicate, compensate, and respond under stress. By mapping these interactions through both Ayurvedic diagnostics and modern biological assessment, we identify the root causes of imbalance, rather than simply addressing symptoms.  This is Integrative Biological Medicine - where ancient medical systems meet evidence-based understanding of the human organism.

what is Mātāji?

The Meaning of "Mātāji"

In Sanskrit, Mātāji (माताजी) means "revered mother."  It represents the nurturing intelligence that sustains all life - the same organizing force that drives cell division, tissue repair, and the body's capacity to heal.  At Mataji Ayurvedic, that intelligence is not symbolic; it is biological.  It is the self-correcting impulse we seek to activate in every client.

Clinical Philosophy

Health is not achieved through suppression of symptoms but through restoration of systemic communication - between gut and brain, endocrine and immune, mind and tissue.  When these communication pathways are restored, the entire organism self-regulates.  Our framework integrates:

  • Ayurvedic Systems Medicine: assessment of constitution (Prakriti), imbalance (Vikruti), and root cause (Nidana).

  • Functional Physiology: understanding hormone, immune, and neurochemical regulation through both classical and clinical lenses.

  • Psycho-neurobiology: recognition that emotional trauma, chronic stress, and grief directly affect the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems.

  • Herbal and Nutritional Pharmacology: evidence-informed protocols using plant medicine, micronutrient support, and sensory therapies to restore rhythm and function.

  • Regulatory Lifestyle Medicine: restructuring habits, circadian timing, and sensory input to re-establish the body's natural cycles of healing.

This multidimensional approach allows each individual's biology to be seen, understood, and guided toward balance rather than forced into conformity.

Meet the PrOVIDER - Jen von Nida (Mātāji)

Jen von Nida - known as Mātāji - is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor whose work bridges the disciplines of traditional medical science and embodied healing.  Educated under Dr. Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc, at the Ayurvedic Institute and further trained in functional anatomy, clinical herbalism, psychoneuroimmunology, and trauma-informed care, she brings a rare synthesis of precision, depth, and compassion.  Jen's background in both the biological sciences and Ayurvedic philosophy allows her to translate ancient diagnostic principles into modern physiological understanding.  Her work supports clients with complex, chronic, or stress-related conditions - including autoimmune disorders, hormonal dysregulation, trauma recovery, chronic fatigue, menopause transitions, inflammatory syndromes and more.   Each consultation is a comprehensive evaluation that may include:

  • Pulse, tongue, face, nail diagnosis

  • Detailed symptom and systems mapping

  • Review of relevant health history or functional findings

  • Personalized Ayurvedic and nutritional formulations

  • Guidance in emotional and nervous-system regulation

The result is an individualized care plan that treats not only the condition, but the communication breakdown between systems that allowed imbalance to develop.

The Practice Model

Mātāji Ayurvedic operates within the philosophy of biological coherence - that the body's systems are inherently intelligent, and healing occurs when those systems are able to communicate clearly again.  Each session is designed to:

  • Identify dysregulation at the system and tissue level

  • Address contributing physical, emotional, and environmental factors

  • Support the body's innate repair mechanisms through targeted interventions

Our care model bridges the gap between traditional wisdom and clinical application, ensuring every recommendation is both scientifically sound and energetically attuned.

Begin Your Process

Your first consultation is the foundation of your care plan.  We begin with a comprehensive intake, review of your medical and emotional history, and a deep listening process to understand the unique patterns at play within your system.  From there, a customized program of herbal, nutritional, and regulatory support is designed - tailored to your body's needs and aligned with your long-term health goals.

we are a safe and inclusive space.
all of you is welcome here.

a poetic remembrance

Mātāji , a word that carries the weight of generations, of sacred devotion, of the purest embodiment of compassion and care.  At Mātāji Ayurvedic, this name is not just a title, it is a living presence. It is the guiding spirit behind every offering, every ritual, every act of service.

Founded in the spirit of the Divine Mother, this space exists to hold, to heal, and to uplift.  Mātāji is the one who sees you without judgment.   She listens with the ears of the heart. She nurtures you back into remembrance of your wholeness.   Through the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and sacred presence, Mātāji Ayurvedic is a sanctuary for the soul.  A place where you can breathe, soften, and come home to yourself.

You are not broken here.  You are not rushed here.  You are not treated.  You are deeply seen.  You are deeply heard.  You are sacred.  You are held.

Feedback from those who have worked with Jen have described that through Jen, Mātāji energy becomes a lived experience; not an abstract ideal, but a tangible presence that people can feel when they sit with her, look into her eyes, or enter the spaces she creates.

Jen is the mirror of divine worth, the one who reflects back the inherent beauty, light, and dignity of each soul.  She holds others in a field so still, so loving, and so attuned that their nervous systems exhale and their spirits remember:  I am safe.  I am loved. I belong.  I am whole.  In the words of Dr. Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASC,  a master of subtle truth,  she embodies the Divine Mother energy, and that is not symbolic praise.  It is a spiritual recognition.   Her medicine is not only in her hands, herbs, or words; it is in her very presence.  She carries the rasa of the sacred,  that nectar of being which is deeply felt, rarely found, and utterly unforgettable.

Jen lovingly walks with others through threshold moments of grief, transformation, illness, awakening, birth, generational reweaving; not as a guide above them, but as a sacred mother beside them.   She is a midwife to their becoming.  She holds the candle when they forget their own light.

She is a vessel of stillness.  People enter her presence and feel seen without judgment, held without agenda, and allowed to simply be.  This is the ancient feminine art of holding space; not fixing, not analyzing, just witnessing with holy love.  Through her presence and her unwavering compassion, she embodies the pure current of Divine Mother energy.  This is what she has come to offer the world.  Come as you are.   Leave as who you’ve always been.

 In Love
